segmenting of photos

Can anyone tell me why this is happening. I have tried a few photos and the minuite I crop/straighten or change the photo, this is what I am getting. I have even tried to work with the original to flip and then edit and I am still getting this. I am a new user as I find photoshop a little confusing but have no real idea what I may have done.

    Hi @sueg36554814 Go to Photoshop Preferences/Technology Preview and check “Use Older GPU Mode (2016)”. Quit and relaunch PS. Any difference?

    If not, go to Photoshop Help Menu/System Info and copy/paste details in a reply. Post only once as the system takes time to process the large amount of data.

    Open Preferences, and go Technology Previews > Deactivate Native Canvas and restart Photoshop.  I suspect that will fix it for you.
