Hi,

I am posting as a BUG, cause is not possible that a SYSTEM allow clicking a simple ESC and closing a mask tool, makes me losing ALL work many times a day.

The WORST, is that the OPACITY slider is putting FOCUS on the percentage number.... so i press ESC to GET OUT cursor focus of that field ... and sometimes, i press ESC wrong and LOSE all my work!

THIS IS A BUG, a system don't ASK THIS: "Are you sure you want to close mask tool?"

Cannot believe that there is no opttion to allow me to put a confirmation checkbox on mask tool exit.

Please, solve this URGENTLY!

thank you,

Sergio

Hello

I would like to report a very annoying behavior that caused me, and other users as I've seen, al lot of loss of time. It applies to any version of photoshop in the "select and mask mode".

Using this mode, one can spend a LOT of time perfecting a mask for controuring objects, and if by mistake the ESC key is pressed for any reason, then ALL this time is loss as the selction reverts to its initial state.

While the ESC key is supposed to act as a cancel button, it SHOULD NOT under any circomstance, cancel hors of work without any warning, not even a "Are you sure to cancel this selection ?".

Would be easy to fix.

The esc key is used for all dialog boxes as a cancel feature. This isn't a bug, it's as intended.

I disagree. Select and mask is not just an dialog box but a window on which you can spend an hour contouring an object properly. I do believe like the OP that is is a very badly design feature.
