Set default app for all jpeg files.

Using the Info panel to change to Photoshop when opening a jpeg file, and also selecting the "Change All" button to open all jpeg files in Photoshop, the selected app reverts to its previous named app, such as Lightroom or Preview! I've read many complaints about this already from other Photoshop users. This is a new issue with Photoshop, and is one which does not occur with any other of my many apps. How can this be fixed?

Hi @seePSlovePS!

Thanks for the update! 😊 Let me know how the reinstalling goes once you've had a chance to test it out. If that doesn't help, some users have found that installing Photoshop Beta can resolve this issue. You might want to try installing Photoshop Beta and then setting either Photoshop 26.5 or Photoshop Beta as the default app.

Keep me posted on how it goes! Thanks!

Hi @seePSlovePS! Welcome to the community! 😊

I understand your frustration. Could you check if Photoshop has full disk access on your Mac? You can follow the guide here.

If that doesn't help, could you try uninstalling and reinstalling Photoshop? Let me know if this helps!

Cheers, Alek

I have granted full access to Photoshop, and if does not change the
behaviour. I will try uninstalling/reinstalling when I'm back at my Mac
today. Thanks
