Why Adobe? Just why would you change this? It's been this way for DECADES. What is with this update??

In what context did you find this one, jthornton42?

Many shortcuts have been changed over time for many reasons—sometimes to make them more consistent with other Adobe applications; sometimes for other reasons. You can customized your shortcuts in Edit > Keyboard Shortcuts.

The one that was hardest for me to get used to was when they took away Cmd+1 to change to the Red Channel and assigned it to Actual Size, but I did get used to it.

Well, I updated Adobe CC this morning and Photoshop is COMPLETELY changed. I was a bit wrong in the above post though. I've learned that the transform proportionately, where it used to be done by holding shift, is now the OPPOSITE with holding shift NOT doing that. Backwards.

Add in the other changes/bugs I've encountered in just a few hours: can't see where you are highlighting text, transform tools that have no visible controls and more.

    Hi jthornton42

Yes, Transform is now proportional by default, by that can be turned off. I was at the round table yesterday and heard a lot of this, but only have an iPad here at MAX. Check in the Options bar if you want to distort it and disable this feature. If its not there, check Preferences.

Clicking outside a modal dialog such as Transform now commits it.

The widget for rotate is hidden by default, but can be turned on. So many new users would grab the center of rotation widget and drag it, expecting to move the the pixels, especially since that‘s how Illustrator works.

The Adobe MAX website will have a What’s New in Photoshop after that session. Terry White usually has a What’s New, and so does lynda.com, now linkedinlearning.com. Be sure to watch these to learn the new features.
