Show Only Magenta Plate

Hard to describe without showing an example. 😎

I’ve used many methods in PS over the years to colorize an image, but I see this look in print design a lot lately. It looks like only the magenta (or cyan, or yellow) plate only got printed.

How do you do this?

    Got it.

In CMYK mode, load the magenta channel ONLY, and invert your selection.

Create a new layer, and fill with magenta (100%).

Put a white solid layer UNDER the magenta layer, and turn off the original (full color) layer you started with.
