simple shadow upgrades in photoshop

Question

Guys I just want to see some simple shadow upgrades in photoshop. Keynote and others have had simple shadows like:

Contact shadow

Curved shadow

Drop shadow

FOR YEARS! Can we please get an upgrade here. I'm not asking for an overhaul. if you can include some addtional features great, but can we get the basics please.
