Question

Slow down. We can't wait to generate more content for you. You can try again in a few hours

I pay for generative credits that work into my photo editing workflow.  Today out of nowhere I received this message and I could not use the generative tools: “Slow down. We can't wait to generate more content for you. You can try again in a few hours”

This was after using it maybe twice in a 30 minute period.  WHAT GIVES?  I have used it as a normal part of editing in way more frequet ways than today.   Why do I have to put work on hold?!  If I’m paying for these credits but they need to be used at a certain “pace”, what is the PACE?  Shouldn’t we be given that info instead of just being locked out seemingly at random?!

Very frustrated about this.

Same here … I’m a professional photo retoucher as well and my pace may be much faster than the OP.  However, I’m not using any form of automation. I’ve just become very quick and efficient with my workflow. The type of work I do is very repetitive and predictable, so I have recorded actions that get triggered with an XP-Pen.

I was wondering if Adobe’s system was flagging me as a bot, but after seeing other who have this same issue I’m not so sure.

I recognize that Adobe must protect its services against automated abuse. However, ordinary professional usage should not be treated as abuse simply because an experienced operator works quickly and repeatedly.

These restrictions directly interfere with paid production work and create uncertainty about whether Adobe's advertised unlimited features are suitable for professional environments.

What makes matter worse … I have had two support sessions to address this restriction. Adobe support keeps insisting that I step through a series of troubleshooting steps despite me telling then this is NOT a technical issue that can be resolved with troubleshooting.

The last support session I had to request escalation three times. All I want are answers to WHY and someone to give me an explanation and or cite their policy where they are allowed to throttle our usage like this. So tomorrow I will have to see if the escalated phone support will be productive of another attempt by Adobe to “FIX” it.

My Annual subscription ends this month, this issue may cause me to cancel and just use my the license under my employer. I’m perfectly happy with Affinity’s products, this may just be the reason to finally kick Adobe to the curb.

Odd. I’ve certainly seen “try again later” a few times, but never “in a few hours.” Do you get the message continuously?

Yes, total stop.  So weird.
