Smart Object in PS opens Layer Style dialog and not ACR.

I do some basic adjustments in LR then export image as Smart Object to PS.  When I double click on Smart Object the Layer Style dialog box opens instead of ACR.  This seems to be happening to only one image.  Suggestions as to how to get the ACR to open?

And you're sure there is a smart object icon in the thumbnail, and that you are double-clicking inside the thumbnail?

 

Sorry to ask an obvious question, just have to make sure...

    Thank you, D. Foose.  

     

    The icon is missing and I double clicked inside the thumbnail.  Not sure what I did to remove the Smart Onbject, but I loaded another Smart Object of the same image and copied the layers from the original file to the new Smart Object.
