Some PS tools keep reading Wacom pen after lifting from tablet

I see this bug is back again in the latest 25.5 update. 25.4 is OK. Using a wacom tablet. Anyone have a fix for this? Rolliong back for now...

Just a note that I am still trying to provoke the problem on my system, and it just won't appear. It's gone from 100% there to 100% absent without me doing anything, which is frustrating....

@alanp6536080 Thank you for your interest in my thread and for reporting your experience.
I was able to reproduce it with a mouse, and concluded that this was not our problem, as I reported to Cory last in my thread.
There seems to be a problem with the preferences files themselves in Photoshop 24.5 and 24.6. Of course, Windows Ink, resetting the configuration can help solve this problem a little, but it's not exactly something you can control because it includes from the installation files that are officially released from Adobe.

Well, this just got interesting. I was setting up to test this for you, and first checked that I had a configuration that did show the issue.

And now, having changed nothing on the system at all, I do not see any problem. It's gone, and lots of dragging with the hand tool and drawing rectangular selections makes it show. I'm using the same procedure as before, opening a PSD file from the Recents list.

Previously I would see the hand-grabbing behaviour within 3 uses of the hand tool at most.

So this is PS 24.6 as before, no PSUserConfig.txt file, Wacom drivers set to use Windows Ink and to not use Windows Ink. Setting Flick Panning and Overscroll on or off makes no difference.

I've restarted PS several times, plugged and unplugged the tablet, and I just cannot provoke the problem behaviour. I've never seen it with a mouse and still don't.

I will keep trying to provoke it and I'll come back here if I can. I'll keep watching @Jqqerry  's long thread as well.

Go to Preferences/Tools and disable flick panning and overscroll - does the issue still occur?

It may help if we could see your Photoshop System Info. Launch Photoshop, and select Help >System Info...and copy/paste the text in a reply.  

I have exactly the same problem, and I rolled back to version 24.0, as advised by users in the same topics. This is a very terrible bug for work. Adobe, you should fix this as soon as possible!

I've just picked up the 24.6 Photoshop update, and the problem is still there
