Something for the weekend - part 152 - Deck the Hall.....

Hi

With Christmas very close we need some decorations. The tree is in place but the decorations are still in the box. Can you help and, of course, give it a "something for the weekend" twist?

The “rules”:

* Anything goes, as long as it meets the forum rules on decency, copyright etc

* Anyone, and everyone, is welcome to have a go, whether you are a complete beginner or a Photoshop expert. This is not just for our forum "regulars".

* There are no prizes apart from the chance to practice, show off, or bring a bit of humour and fun. Don't be shy, join in and have a go!

To download the image below at its full pixel size, with an embedded ICC colour profile (sRGB), hover over the image and click on the circle with the arrows at the top right. Then, when the image opens in its own window, right click and choose “Save Image As/Save Target As” (or similar depending on your browser).

When posting back your image – please use the blue reply button in this first post. If posting a comment on someone else’s entry then please use the grey reply button next to their image post.

Merry Christmas to you and your families.

Dave

Ah Dave, your tree looked very bare without lights, but the New Year Sales have turned up

some wonderful retro possibilities.

Happy New Year everyone !!

Best regards, Euan.

Pre-tangled indeed. Those were the days when we had to untangle them and test them, screwing in each lamp,  before putting them on the tree.

Happy new year

Yes, and any bulb that was blown would cause the whole string not to light.

The nightmare was if you had TWO blown bulbs !!

Best regards, Euan.

"Decorations, or, Our New Home"

(From top to bottom: Pullo, Castor, Bowser, Oliver, and Theodore. I feel like I should just put them in the tree when it goes up. It would save some time.)  lol

So it is true, Dean, everything is bigger Down Under, not only trains and lorries and bite risks. How about chimneys, if they are used like everywhere else?

We don't celebrate Boxing Day in the U.S. so it's possible that I've misunderstood it?

The branches have not been pulled down so they must be flyweight or featherweight Jane. Or have I also misunderstood? 🙂

Indeed, Dave, and let them use the hall for the duration, so they brought their own decorations and gifts, in their own colour space and (lack of) depth.

They were a bit shy when this early picture was taken.

Very Australian Dean.  A cockatoo, a laughing kookaburra, a cuddly koala bear and pictures borrowed from previous SFTW.  Christmas has almost been and gone for me already, and what are you? Two or three hours behind me?   I enjoyed my curry.  They didn't have any Terry's Chocolate Oranges at the supermarket yesterday, so I settled for a Toblerone!  🙂  When that's gone it's back to my diet.  😞

Thanks Trevor. About 5 hours left of the day here.

Enjoy the rest of the Toblerone. I need to restock 🙂

Well done Trevor for the little details that I only picked up after a second, closer look - like the spilled milk and fallen picture.
