SS Hard drive full after recent updates for Adobe Photographic Apps.

10/28/2025: I have just downloaded the latest Adobe updates for Photoshop, Lightroom, Lightroom Classic, and Bridge. When finished, Lightroom Classic wouldn't open and wouldn't update the catalog. Then I noticed that my SSD was full. I have a 500 GB SSD, and it has had about 250 GB on it for the last 8 years. Does anybody have a clue why this happened. Any info would be welcome.

Thanks for your reply! I found that the Lightroom Classic update created a 200GB+ backup folder. After deleting that, everything went back to normal. Thanks again.

    Check if you have multiple versions of Adobe apps? I won't recommend depending solely on the latest version but if there are more versions you can choose to unistall some. Beyond this in general scan your computer to see what all is taking space and decide if it needed actually or not. W.r.t Adobe apps you can choose to install them on other drive as well

For future updates, it’s a good idea to regularly check your backup settings in Lightroom Classic and adjust them as needed to prevent storage issues.
