using General distraction remove - getting program error 288b8e.122 at random times.Anyone else had this or any news on this as have tried searching but only came up with details on the beta version saying it was going to be fixed.

interesingly, if I immediately run it again, 99/100 it works perfectly.

    Hello!

The error code 288b8e.122 typically points to a synchronization lag between the local application and Adobe’s Firefly servers during the initial handshake. The fact that it works perfectly on the second attempt (99% of the time) suggests a 'cold start' latency issue rather than a corrupted installation.

Since you are using the Standard version (not Beta), please try these specific steps to stabilize the performance:

    1. Direct Cloud Access: Ensure that Photoshop is not being throttled by a Firewall or a strict DNS. Sometimes the first request 'wakes up' the connection, which is why the second one works.
    2. GPU Memory (VRAM) Flush: This error can occur if the GPU doesn't allocate the temporary 'preview' space fast enough. Go to Preferences > Performance > Advanced Settings and ensure 'Use Graphics Processor' is optimized for your card.
    3. Content Credentials: Try toggling 'Content Credentials' (Window > Content Credentials) Off/On. Sometimes the metadata attachment process triggers this specific error if the cloud sync is lagging.
    4. Clear Local Generative Cache: Navigate to: C:\Users\[User]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop 2024\Generator (or the equivalent Mac path) and clear the temporary logs. This often resolves 'random' failures.

Since this issue was reported in Beta and should have been patched, I will flag this to ensure the engineering team knows it's persisting in the Production build (Standard)."
