Sticking font properties only to a particular font

Hi, everyone. I've found that when I change the properties of a font, the settings are sticky, so the next font I use will have the same settings (Tracking, Leading, etc.) I'm working on a scrapbook where I want the journaling font to have extended Tracking and custom Leading, but I don't want these properties applied to the title font. This means I'm revising properties of each for every new page I create. Is there a way to save the properties of the journaling font and not have them affect any other fonts I may use?

I'm using PS 26.8.1 on a Windows machine.

Thanks for any ideas you may have!

As noted, you may want to save styles.
