Question

Stuck with repeated requests to sign in, or use a trial as apposed to my subscription?

Hello!

I'm extremely infuriated today.

I tried to use Photoshop CC (2015.5 I believe?) and I was requested to sign in. I thought that this was odd, since I had been using the software without any issues since I initially took out an annual plan. To add, I last used Photoshop, problem free, up until 4am GMT this morning. I checked to see if the Creative Cloud (CC) app was up to date, which it wasn't. I was hoping that if I cleared enough space of the C-Drive and updated the CC app, things would revert to normal, but it has not.

I then tried uninstalling and reinstalling, making sure to deactivate from my account page to ensure no issues there, to end up with the latest version (2017), and when I finally got that to open, it said I was on a 7-day trial.

Why am I being given a trial? My plan is active as far as I know.

I've spent the last six hours trying everything I can; resigning into the CC app, ensuring I was connected, my time and date is correct, all of the troubleshooting help that I could find. the only one is the obm file, which I can't delete as of now.

Every time I revert to an older version of Ps, I get asked repeatedly to sign in, and I never get to use the software. And when I use the 2017, it's telling me I am on a trial.

What haven't I tired (besides trying to contact adobe, which I cannot right now since it is the weekend)?

This is a major issue as one of my art projects I am currently doing requires me to draw a picture on a daily basis.

I am livid to find that I'm not getting to use Photoshop, which I have paid to use.

Any assistance is welcome.

Before you do anything more, try to sign in from Photoshop. When the trial screen opens, there should be a "license this software" option. Once there, you should also get a choice to sign in with your Adobe ID (not serial number).

It happens occasionally that the CC app and the main apps go out of sync. Signing out/in to the CC app should fix that, but maybe it didn't.

BTW, this was a huge problem in the beginning of CC. People were constantly asked to sign in, but we don't see it so much now.

You have the Creative Cloud Desktop Application running and have signed in using it. Have you used it Manage Account item?

Login In

Used Mage Plan

Checked the expiration date and see that it has not expired.

And see your payments are up to date.

If so I think you need to contact Adobe Customer support.

Thanks for the response! Yes, my plan has always been active and my payments are fine. I'd recently renewed the plan in January:

D Fosse,

I tried doing that, but I do not get the option to license.

Instead it just automatically goes to the "Thank You" Screen. When I come out and re-launch Ps 2017, it still states that I am in trial mode.

And I still cannot access the previous versions.

I'm stuck with repeated requests to sign in, followed by "Thank You", only to loop round again.

I am going to try and contact Customer Support in the hopes that this can be resolved as soon as possible.

I had once had requests to sign in in the past, but nothing as persistent as this, nor preventing the use of software.

Thanks for the help.

I was able to get in contact with Customer Support, and the issue appears to be resolved.

  • I had to re-name a second folder, SLCache, and then run an Adobe app as administrator->sign in.

I've yet to launch CC 2017 since doing this, but I am just relieved to be able to resume working on my projects.

Thanks for the assistance, and I hope this may help anyone should the problem occur.
