Stylus issue in Photoshop 2024

I am running Adobe Photoshop 2024 version 25.9.1 on Windows 10 Home desktop with a Viekk Studio VK1200 tablet and default pen that came with it. It comes with software and drivers, both are fully installed and have been reinstalled multiple times for testing.

In other programs, everything works fine. The software has WindowsInk and I use that in other programs like Krita and Medibang and everything works fine. In PS2024, I can track my styluse and use it to click on things, but it refuses to actually draw anything on a canvas with brush tools. It works perfetly fine with the mouse, but it refuses to draw anything with the pen. I tried turning Shape Dynamis on and off and it doesn't change anything.

The only way I can get my pen to draw in PS2024 is to go into my tablet software and turn off Windowsink, but when I do that, I no longer have pen pressure, and shape dynamics in PS2024 doesn't seem to turn it back on. I have to have Windowsink on for my tablet to use pressure with my pen, but PS2024 is not allowing me to draw with it.

Any fixes? Much appreciated ahead of time.

Correct answer Bossgalka

Thanks for putting it in the right spot, the forums are labeled awkwardly so I couldn't find a help section, I just went into the general photoshop section where I saw other questions mixed in. Assuming you are moving them, too, you have a busy job. Sorry.

Badd news and bad news. Bad news, I already did basically everything that has been suggested there and then some. So that didn't quite help me.

Good news, after leaving photoshop up for 5 hours while I watched Squid Games S2, it is magically working for no reason. I closed it and relaunched it to test, and it's suddenly working for no reason still. So it looks like it's somehow solved. Considering it "fixed itself" while I was afk for about 5 hours, I have absolutely no clue what changed but you can mark it as solved regardless. I don't know if I can mark it solved myself? Don't see the option. Sorry to anyone who runs across this post looking for an answer. Leave it open 5 hours and watch something on Netflix, I guess?

Hey, @Bossgalka. Welcome to the Photoshop Community. I've moved your post to discussions for now.

While Wacom devices are supported, other devices should work in general. Here is a conversation about another hardware manufacturer where users have shared great insights for troubleshooting this. Please try & follow the steps shared here: https://adobe.ly/400LbBc;

Thanks!

Yes, you can mark posts as "correct" when you are the OP and are signed in. Staff and moderators can also mark posts, and I have done this one for you.
