Suggested settings for downsizing with little loss as possible?
Hi everyone,
I need to downsize photos to place online so I don't end up eating many gigs of data in storage with just a few photos. I've shot in RAW at largest file size (extremely large) and exported from Lr as dng, which of course goes to Camera RAW, then into PS. Once I take it into PS to add watermark and final touches, I want to save a smaller version as a jpg while hopefully losing as little quality as possible. I've read everywhere and can't really find an answer for this.
Original un-edited photos are 5568px by 3712 px, 300 ppi.
As you can see from the above, those files are HUGE, and they not only take an eternity to upload but also eat up a ton of storage space. Now, someone suggested I try uploading as a png file, which still seems to preserve the quality (which surprised me), but they're still gigantic with 7 photos taking some 3.3GB in storage. You can see my problem with this.
Suggestions? I'm leaving everything right now in DNG limbo until I can get some expert direction from the PS/Lr pros here.
Thanks so much in advance.
Regards,
Ella
