Suggestion: move close and go to bridge, under file. Its Right Above the Save button.....

Maybe instead of having save, save as, save a copy; have it listed save as, save, save a copy with save in the middle. Just that little difference can be bigger, especially for beginners. 

@164LoversInMotion you could also do a quick save, Control S on the keyboards too? And then manually open the file in Bridge. That's what I do. Why? Because I do what you just did many years ago, and I learnt never again! Sorry to hear that you went through all that too!
