Question

Switch back my Alt Keys? (Mac)

I'm mid project, and for some reason the Alt keys on my macbook pro have swapped functions. Does anyone know how to switch it back?

E.G: I have to click the left Alt key now to get the dropper function to work while using paintbrush, likewise for the clone stamp tool.

For the life of me I can't figure out how or why this has happened. I've gone through every setting both in photoshop and the mac itself to figure this out and I'm at a loss.

Please help!

Me either, thanks why I'm stumped. I've been using this program for over 20 years, never encountered this before.

There is no setting that I know of in Ps that distinguishes between the left and right alt keys. Some keyboard layout does.

I was mid project and it changed. I'm using the British keyboard setting. I've thought it might be the country setting so I've tried it on American and even Irish English and it remains the same. The functions work fine outside of photoshop so whatever switch has happened, it think its within the program itself.

Hi, which keyboard language are you using? Did you switch the input language to another one ( https://support.apple.com/guide/mac-help/mchlp1406/mac ) I do not think it is a Photoshop issue...

Correction, it's the right alt key I have to click, to get what should be the left key functions and viseversa.
