?!?!? tapered text along a path ?!?!?

so I am looking to have text go along a path and also have the text taper off at the ends, meaning smaller at the beginning and then bigger in the middle of the text line, to then smaller at the end tail (like how the brush stroke preview area in the brush menu. included I showed the path I want to have the text go along and then the brush preview shows the aesthetics I'm going for with the "taper" effect.

hopefully, this isn't confusing, but I know it's doable but I just can't get it to happen. I wanted to rasterize the text but then it would be a headache to get the text to go along the path I want.

I was thinking of the wrapped text menu but it is not giving me full control of the tapering of the text/font.

hopefully, someone can shed some light on this or share some helpful hints.

if I can clarify this in any way I'm open to revising, but this has had me racking my brain for the past 4 days, or if anyone has resourceful links to information that may help me that's also greatly appreciated

So far it works on point text but not paragraph text or type on path and it doesn't support live text but it does retain the original just in case

That sounds tricky. How much text, and how precise does the path have to be?

If the shape of the path is not super critical you might be able to use combinations of Free Transform and Warp and nesting each stage as a new Smart Object, but you would be severly limited in the shapes you could create

I asked how much text because you could do it manually by laying down your Type layer layer and going Type > Convert to Shape. You could then create your path and use the Path Selection tool to select each letter and move it into position, and Free Transform to rotate it. There is surprisingly little work in this. The letters are all on the one shape layer, but you only need click on a particular letter shape to select and move it. Iadded the step of using Free Transform > Perspective on the shape to taper the line of text — you can do this to what has become a shape layer without having to convert it to a Smart Object. I wouldn't want to do this with multiple projects, but as a one off it would be totally doable.

It is doable for sure. There isn't built in option in Photoshop for such effect. I would try in Illustrator to convert type to art brush. Here is my tutorial on that topic https://www.dezigneasy.com/2012/05/creating-perfect-type-on-path-in.html

In short: outline type, save as Art brush, apply saved Art brush to path then try to use Witdh tool for final effect.

This is my idea how to create effect you are looking for. It may or may not work for your project.

A variation on that would be to set the type in Photoshop, and Type > Create Work Path, followed by Edit > Transform Path > Warp to make the taper. Copy and paste into Illustrator, make it an Art Brush, and apply it to a path. Object shape > Convert to Shape, and Expand Appearance.Copy, and paste into Photoshop as a Shape.

Maybe a script that sets the size of each individual character, with those in the middle of the string being normal sized, becoming smaller towards the ends.

You culd also do this by hand. I have, and it's extremely tedious, hence I recommend a script.
