Tengo un problema al querer  seleccionar elementos con el mouse

Hola seguramente a estas alturas ya solucionaste el problema, espero entender tu problema ya que supongo que para poder editar algun objeto tenias que ir necesariamente al panel de capas y seleccionar directamente desde ahi el objeto a editar, posiblemente no tienes activado la Seleción automatica que se encuentra en la barra de propiedades, adjunto imagenes de la opción.
Dejo este mensaje en respuesta por si alguien en el futuro tiene el mismo prolema, espero pueda servirle de ayuda.

As @Trevor.Dennis mentioned, to deselect selected layer in the Layers panel hold down Ctrl then click on layer. Not sure why you want deselected all layers, if you explain that part maybe we can help better.

I have a problem wanting  to select another element with the mouse, I have windows and the 2021 version, I have to go to layers click from there so I can select it, and if I want to deselect I can't, it just lets me select another layer. I hope you can help me solve that problem.

Have you tried using Ctrl d (Cmd d) to close the selection?

I suspect we are missing exactly what your issue is because of the translation app, so can you give us a really detailed description of what your problem is?  A full res screen shot might help.

Is there a reason you are not using the latest version of Photoshop?

What operating system are you using?
