"The Illustrator program 2024 could not be opened"

Dear All,

 

I have updated both Photoshop and Illustrator to the latest version and am now having problems opening vector graphics from Photoshop. For example, a logo that I want to re-open in Illustrator does not open with the message "The Illustrator program 2024 could not be opened" (even though it is already open). I know remote diagnosis is difficult, but I thought maybe someone of you have had a problem like this before?

    Same problem, cannot find any fix from Adobe. Here's what my screen looks like (see screenshot). The application doesn't load any of the menus, palettes or artboard space.

      can you save from the vector photoshop and then open in illustrator?
