the old Photoshop files are still in my hard drive

Question

Hello there,I noticed that there are still serval old Photoshop folders in my hard drive. Some of the files, 2022, and 2024, are only contained small files such as plug in and filter folder. Only the version 2023 contain large files in that folder. I checked creative cloud and found only one Photoshop (2026 version) in the App. Therefore, I won’t be able to uninstall 2023 version via Creative Cloud. How can I get rid of the older version? Can I just directly drag the older version of Photoshop folders to trash can? Thank you.

Just ignore them, unless you are very short of drive space. The immediate previous version will have presets and settings, but the further back you go, the less the folders will contain. We must have made dozens of people happy when they tell us they have lost all presets and settings, and we are able to tell them to look in those previous version folders.

I have folders going back to 2021 for Photoshop, and the contain a bit of 4Gb. This excludes the current version.

Try renaming them and see if it affects anything.
