Question

The "Remove" option/tool does not work at all if installed through product deployment. Creative Cloud is also not seeming to recognize Photoshop being deployed.

As an IT-Supporter it is a nightmare to simply just deploy the Adobe Suite without the ability for the user to upgrade everything and create a version-mismatch on several adobe products. Now that we have finally decided to delve into Photoshop 2026 it has come to multiple users and my attention that the remove tool as well as some, if not all other “AI-Features” are completely unusable and won’t install no matter what.

Apparently it does not make a difference if Creative Cloud can recognize Adobe 2026 being installed or not but it also seems that some Creative Cloud Licensed users can not see Photoshop installed on Creative Cloud, yet Photoshop works fine with License and everything but the “AI-Features” seems to work fine.

Upon reading that this is an ongoing issue for several months now I am considering going back to 2025 for Photoshop just to be absolutely certain that this new and improved version does not ruin any more features outside of the AI-Required features.

It has been a good week and I have decided to update Photoshop once more, uninstall it and reinstall it as well to check if it makes any difference and even tested the same tools on a PC that has Photoshop shown in Creative Cloud generally. The same issue persists.

It has also been quite a week of silence since my last response which is greatly upsetting considering this affects more than just a single user.

Thanks for the update. I'll need more info to help you figure this out. Please share the system info from Photoshop Help > System info > Copy & paste into a text document > upload & attach here.

Please make sure there are no stale preferences in your Photoshop. Go to the location of the preference folder below and rename it to backup.

    • Windows 10/11: Users/[user name]/AppData/Roaming/Adobe/Adobe Photoshop [version]/Adobe Photoshop [version] Settings

    • You can press Press the Windows key > Enter 'Run' > Enter %APPDATA%\Adobe

    • Rename the Adobe Photoshop folder by adding a .old at the end. (Adobe Photoshop 2026 > Rename > Adobe Photoshop 2026. old), You can restore these preferences later if needed.(https://adobe.ly/4860qM9)

    • Restart the computer.

    Thanks!

    Hi @Jonathan29802640ozam

I understand how frustrating this can be, especially when you’re managing deployments across multiple users.

From what you’ve described, the fact that Photoshop is not being detected or properly connected to the Creative Cloud desktop app, this explains why the AI-powered features are not working as expected. These features rely on Creative Cloud services and require Photoshop to be properly connected to Adobe services over the network.

To better understand the deployment and narrow down the cause, could you please share the following details?

    • How was Photoshop 2026 installed on the affected machines?
    • Are the affected users able to sign in successfully to both Photoshop and the Creative Cloud desktop app using the same licensed account?
    • Could you also share a screenshot or short screen recording showing what happens when you try to use the Remove tool or another affected AI feature, including any error messages that appear?

Once we have these details, we can better determine whether the issue is related to Photoshop, the Creative Cloud desktop app, connectivity to Adobe services, or something else in the environment.

    Hello,

To answer the following questions accordingly:

    • Photoshop 2026 was installed as a custom package based on the Pre-generated package which has been changed slightly to block user-sided updates for the program itself.
    • The users are able to sign in just fine with the same licensed account.
    • The screenshots of what happens when selectinv the remove tool are as follows:
