The zoom using the option + scroll wheel in Photoshop on MacOS is too fast. It zooms in and out way too much with a slight scroll. I use the latest Photoshop version and I have this issue on both Magic Mouse and Magic MX 4

I’ve seen this reported by a few Mac users, and in many cases it isn’t the mouse itself but how Photoshop interprets the scroll input.

A few things you can try:

• Go to Photoshop > Settings (Preferences) > Tools and toggle Zoom with Scroll Wheel off and back on, then restart Photoshop.
• If you’re using Logi Options+ with the MX Master 4, make sure there aren’t any application-specific scroll settings for Photoshop. Some users have found that disabling Smooth Scrolling or SmartShift reduces the zoom sensitivity.
• If you use a Magic Mouse, check System Settings > Mouse and temporarily reduce the scrolling speed to see if it changes Photoshop’s behavior.
• Test whether the same sensitivity occurs with View > Zoom In/Out or Cmd + +/-. If those behave normally, it points to the scroll input rather than Photoshop’s zoom engine.

If none of those help, could you post your:

• macOS version
• Photoshop version (Help > About Photoshop)
• Whether Use Graphics Processor is enabled under Preferences > Performance

That should help determine whether this is a recent regression or something related to the input device configuration.
