This has been going on for awhile. It seems everyting AdobeCC is updated it works then next update it doesn't.

I have NOT changed ANY settings.

When viewing in Br see discrepancy in attachment.

Thanks!

Correct answer ExUSA

Just checked another computer which is showing thumbnails as image not icon and while the Thumbnail is set to "1000MB, the icon for tiff files is showing image not tiff icon...

Still the question why some tiff files show image as thumbnail yet on same :page in Br" shows" just icon.

Try Purge Cache for Selection and see if the thumbnails are rebuilt. Bridge can be finicky.

Forgot to add Windows 11 latest version, Firefox latest version and Ps, ACR, Br, all up to date.

Image DOES open correctly when "clicked" on. File image is not being displayed in SOME thumbnails in Bridge

One more thing: if this is Bridge, it has a preference setting for "do not process files bigger than...", and the default size is quite small. Can't remember what it was, but I think a TIFF can easily go over - and then you only get a thumbnail.

I always change that setting to 50 GB right away.

Just a quick suggestion:

First check that "maximize PSD and PSB is set to "always" under Photoshop Preferences > File Handling (Yes, it includes  Tiff thumbnails)  http://digitaldog.net/files/TIFFvsPSD.pdf

This gives you a flattened viewable copy for Adobe Bridge and Lightroom.

Open the tiff in Photoshop and toggle a "non-destructive change."  Ctrl i for Invert colors. Ctrl i again to toggle back to normal. Then File > Save, which should rebuild the thumbnail.

I never received any email notice that someone responded to my problem despite the fact that the box IS checked to receive a reply.

Why only on SOME tiff files? All options should "move" to the next update correct? Obviously it is showing some tiff image files as "images versus logos". All I did was "Save As "xxxxxxxxxx.tif

Hi @danpbphoto11370066, thanks for reaching out.

Can you let us know what Adobe app you're using? Is this Photoshop or Bridge?

Thanks!
