Question

Toolbar on a 4k screen

Hello,

I am a new user of Photoshop (26.2).

My laptop has a 4k screen and the toolbar doesn't appear correctly. Indeed the checkmark appears under the notification button (see what's circled in red on the first picture).
How could I solve that? My laptop runs on windows 11 and I don't want to do any changes in the windows settings, because it affects not only Photoshop but all the applications.
I noticed another problem, which is maybe related to the first problem: when I use the navigator, what appears in the navigator doesn't match the picture in the document (see picture 2)

I precise that I am French and that it is not easy for me to write in English.

Hi, welcome to Photoshop - your language is fine but if you prefer you can type in your native French and the forum will translate. Just as an aside, the bar at the top of the screen is the options bar, the toolbar is down the side with the tool icons.

Now to your issues.

Have you any compatibility settings in Windows for Photoshop 2025? You can check by navigating in File Explorer to C: Program Files > Adobe > Adobe Photoshop 2025 and then right clicking Photoshop.exe. Choose properties and then the compatabily tab. If any are set, uncheck them.

If the problem still exists, try a preference reset - the article here describes how you can back up preferences first so that you can restore them if it is not successful in resolving the issue.

Note : You will need to restart Photoshop after both the troubleshooting steps above.

Hello,

Thank you for your message and sorry about the option bar (I can't change the title).

I tried what you suggested:

- I don't have any compatibility settings

- the reset preferences didn't bring anything

Maybe my screen isn't wide enough (13 inch).

What I don't understand is that there is a lot of empty space (in red in the picture) where the checkmark could be
