Question

Tools such as spot healing and lasso tool not working correctly. Neither are most actions

My tools not working correctly.  The lasso tool, when clicked, displays straight lines  all over the photo.  The spot healing tool does not work at all.  Many of my actions not working properly either. Its very hard editing when most tools and actions not working. I have tried suggested resets, nothing changes.  I have done al I could find to try short of uninstalling and reinstalling which I prefer not to do.

    Bob, thank you.  This did restore the healing brush but the Lasso tool still displays all over the photo in straight lines.  The action weren’t listed but when I searched for a specific one, its in there.  Appreciate your response.

    Try resetting the tools and/or preferences.

    To restore preferences quickly using a keyboard shortcut:

    Press and hold Alt+Control+Shift (Windows) or Option+Command+Shift (Mac OS) as you start Photoshop. You are prompted to delete the current settings. The new preferences files are created the next time you start Photoshop.

     

    Note: Using the keyboard shortcut, preference files for custom shortcuts, workspaces, and color settings will also be reset to default.
