Tutorials won't load in photoshop

When I start the tutorial, it gives a quick explanation and says to hit the next button.  On the next screen, it asks me to click the empty box next to the planet layer and then click next.  There is nothing in the layers panel, and there is no image loaded.  The next button is grayed out waiting for me to complete the action, but there is not action to take. 

How do I get the tutorials to work?
