Two drives one computer

Ok this one makes no sense. My son and I share a computer. We each have our own hardrives with OS's on them. My drive runs CS and lightroom with no issues. When he tries to download either program or the creative cloud app on his it says that his system is not compatabile. Both Os's are the exact same. I'm really baffled by what the issue is here. Anyone have any thoughts on this?
