Unable to open a canon raw file with super resolution

Macbook Air M5, 25mb ram, 2tb hard drive with 1.25tb space on the drive.

Photoshop 27.5.0

All works fine opening raw files from a Canon R5 (.CR3 format) but when I try to use Super Resolution in Camera Raw window it stops with an error: “Could not open “_123456.CR3” because the file-format module cannot parse the file.”

I have used super resolution with other CR3 files in previous versions on an M1 Macbook Air with no issues at all.

Is this a bug or have you guys changed something?

Try installing this updated Camera Raw 18.3 plugin and see if that makes any difference:

That worked. Thank you.

So I assume it’s a bug that will be fixed in the next update. Onward and upward.
