Unexpected Layer Style Dialog When Selecting Layers

Hi everyone,I’ve noticed a recurring issue in Photoshop that seems to be related to Windows rather than Photoshop itself.When I click on a layer to select it, or use Ctrl/Shift to select multiple layers, the Layer Style dialog often pops up unexpectedly. This happens even though I’m not double-clicking or trying to open the layer styles—it’s just a regular selection action.From what I can tell, this isn’t a Photoshop bug, but rather something caused by how Windows interprets mouse clicks. It seems that a single click is sometimes registered as a double-click, especially when using certain mice or touchpads.Has anyone else experienced this?Is there a known workaround—maybe a Windows setting or driver tweak—that can prevent this behavior?Thanks in advance!

I have had recurring problems with key-bounce with the gaming keyboards I like to use. Google has always told me that I am far from alone, and there is no fix. I have had five of these high end keyboards now, and I dread to think how much they cost when added up.

So I am wondering if something like this is happening with your situation Bojan?

Google your mouse plus 'button bounce' to see if it is an issue.

What are you using btw?

Do you have another mouse you can try?

Try adjusting Double Click mouse setting

I have had Windows arbitrarily overwrite drivers — usually with major updates, so check that your mouse driver is still from the manufacturer and not a Microsoft one-size-fits-all rubbish driver.
