Unexpected Layer Style Dialog When Selecting Layers
Hi everyone,
I’ve noticed a recurring issue in Photoshop that seems to be related to Windows rather than Photoshop itself.
When I click on a layer to select it, or use Ctrl/Shift to select multiple layers, the Layer Style dialog often pops up unexpectedly. This happens even though I’m not double-clicking or trying to open the layer styles—it’s just a regular selection action.
From what I can tell, this isn’t a Photoshop bug, but rather something caused by how Windows interprets mouse clicks. It seems that a single click is sometimes registered as a double-click, especially when using certain mice or touchpads.
Has anyone else experienced this?
Is there a known workaround—maybe a Windows setting or driver tweak—that can prevent this behavior?
Thanks in advance!
