Question

Updated Photoshop Beta's generative refill can't be used based on given image

Hello everyone,

I have watched quite a few videos on turning any image to watercolour art with generative fill in photoshop. It worked very well 2 weeks ago. But somehow it does not want to work anymore. Is anyone else having the same problem as me?

Cheers,

Janet

In case you are talking about Photoshop Beta please don’t post on this Forum but on the Beta Forum.

Hi there, I ran into this problem with both the newest versions of Photoshop and the Beta. What I did to make this work is the same workflow as previous but did not select the complete photo with the selection when I went into the layers panel to do the generative fill and used the "Oil Painting" for the generative fill query. It worked nicely for me.

One other thing I did, if it still doesn't work for you was and I don't know if this did anything but I did make a duplicate layer of the background prior to adding another channel.

Hope this works. Post here if it does so you can help others.
