Question

Uploaded Fonts not working in Photoshop Web

  • November 5, 2025

Version of the app

Photoshop Web

Platform and OS version

Windows 10; Chrome Browser Version 142.0.7444.60

Steps to reproduce:

  1.  Upload a custom font (using font selector under the Type Tool);
  2. Select and upload font file;
  3. The font seems to be uploaded file (meaning that it shows up in the list);
    4. Select the font under: Uploaded fonts.

Expected result
The custom font should be applied.

Actual result

After uploading and attempting to use the new font, it is not applied. Selecting it in the font selector doesn't work. The font merely reverts back to the previously selected font.

I've seen people mention that this is some sort of collision with an installed extension but I have no extensions running. This seems to be some sort of bug in the app.

Hi @D. Humann @ILARIO5FD5

Thanks for sharing the detailed report! We’ll move this thread to the Discussions section for now. Could you please help with a few more details so we can investigate further:

  • Does this happen with all uploaded fonts or only specific font files?

  • Can you confirm the font file format you used (.ttf / .otf)? Can you share some sample fonts?

  • Do you see the same behavior in a different browser or in an incognito window?

These details will help us narrow down the cause. Looking forward to your response!

Regards,

Srishti

Hi @Srishti Bali
This happens with any font. I'm using TTFs. Also, the issue seems to be itermittent. It may work for a time and then not work.

Custom Fonts seem to work in an incognito window. However, when trying to use Photoshop Web Incognito, I experience a bizarre performance spike. Chrome goes into some sort of race condition which is only resolved by closing that tab. Also, I'm nagged by the following message when trying to use Photoshop Incognito:

Your device doesn't meet the minimum system requirements for Photoshop on the web, or you may be in a private or incognito browsing mode. Performance may be negatively impacted.

I guess this explains the perforamance issue but, given that, I'm unable to actually test this effectively using Incognito mode.

Hope this helps.

It happens to me too. The fonts work, then they randomly stop working. Please fix this.
