Use of Pantone Colours in legacy files.

I am using Adobe CC, and have a query about the Pantone licensing. If i have alot of files created using Pantone Colours prior to the licence change (in illustrator CS6) , am i ok to still use those with out the licence? 

Also i imagine if i were to amend these files or create new ones, using CC, then a licence would be required?
