Using more than one version of PS

Now that LR Preferences will allow easy switching between PS 2023 and Ps Beta, does it matter in which order the two PS versions are downloaded?  Are there any caveats to be aware of when doing this to avoid breaking links between LR and either version of PS?  E.g., does PS still default to the latest downloaded version, or will choosing the default in preferences keep it where I want it?

I'd like to play with the public beta, but until now it seemed to  create a variety of problems trying to run both versions.

Thanks for any thoughts on this.

Gail

Hi @MPDAEF I always install my daily worker first. Also while this works for me, a word of caution. Betas are not guaranteed so use caution when attmepting to run both a beta and your regular software.

I also have a secondary computer with all my beta software installed and consider it expendable. If things go sideways I can blow it up and start over with zero risk to my main computer/software.

Thanks.  Think I'll just wait.  It's not worth all the time and effort to fix that sort of issue, and I don't have a spare seond computer.
