We’re Upgrading Adobe Community for You!

Hi everyone,

We're excited to announce a new Adobe Community experience is coming this January.

A little bit about the update:

The new experience will be simpler to navigate, make it easier to connect with other creatives and Adobe experts, and will give you clearer ways to share feature ideas, enhancement requests, and bug reports—with greater visibility into their status with our product teams.

In the meantime:

  • Adobe Community will remain active. Keep using it as usual—there will be no interruption in access. In fact, you’ll notice even more Adobe Experts on deck to provide faster responses before, during, and after the update.
  • No existing content will be lost in the update. Every single post, reply, solution, feature request, and bug report you’ve made will be transferred to the new experience. You won't need to recreate anything.
  • Existing content will reappear in two phases. When we launch the new community, all posts created on or before November 16 will be there from day one. After launch, we’ll migrate the very latest posts (those created after November 16 up to launch day) in a follow-up phase. We’ll let you know when the final batch of content is available, so you don’t miss a thing. New posts can be created as usual in the new experience starting on launch day; this timing only affects how quickly recent pre-launch posts show up.

We can’t wait for you to see what we’ve been working on!

Thank you for your questions, answers, ideas, and for helping each other. Your contributions make this community stronger and help shape Adobe’s products. Here’s to building the future together.

Hi @AshimG , as magento (adobe commerce) forum (https://community.magento.com/) is getting closed by this year, I'm determined to preserve the knowlage accumulated in that platform, and I want to repose valueable QAs in adobe community. I believe that would benifit the comunity.
Can you let me know who should I contact with to have a Adobe Commerce section on this or the new community program, and also making sure I repost in an appropriate way? Thanks!
BTW I'm in the adobe chaimpion class for commerce.

By @run,ryan!

As the Magneto community is moving to Slack, you should check out there.

The reason for closing their forum is the same as here: they use the same fundemental system and as Adobe changes to a different plattform, all that data will become inaccessible soon.

I prefer what it was before.

Or, to be exact, what it currently is (until January), so please don't change it. I like it here.

Change there will be... and the current platform won't be missed a lot.

I'm looking forward to keeping up with the community of Adobe Animate users who have been with the software since it was known as Flash. the Animate/Flash community is the most vibrant and active community I've ever had the pleasure to be a part of. Long may it continue.

Gracias, pero lo que queremos los miles de usuarios de habla en Español son los TUTORIALES en ESPAÑOL.

Las aplicaciones SI que funcionan, pero los tutoriales hacen falta en ESPAÑOL

Hello @nina.cabeza

Could you please share more details about where you are looking for these tutorials? We already have a good amount of tutorials available for our Spanish users: https://adobe.ly/4saUV9u

Regards,

I don't remember the name of the previous platform, but when we were moved to Khoros the process was the same

Messages up to a selected date were copied (converted) to the new platform... a process that was discussed then and which took several weeks for Adobe  and Khoros to convert all the individual pieces to be able to fit

Once that was done, and Khoros was running, everything from the 'lock in' date forward was converted and added

So, that is clearly what is going to be done this time... and, I don't remember the exact timing, all links to the old platform stopped working... so I am going to presume that 'someday' any links to Khoros will stop working

I'm sure there will be questions from people who do not connect very often, but I do hope the new platform works well

The name of the previous platform was Jive, and you're right that at some point those older "forums.adobe.com" links stopped working/forwarding – but there is no reason that it has to be that way...

Redirects will continue to work for decades if left alone. It was either conscious or inadvertent that they stopped working for the prior forums. When they did, it caused an enormous amount of work for ProDesignTools (and no doubt other sites) which had many hundreds of those links.

So I really hope that part does not happen again, as it can be avoided and there are only downsides to dropping existing links on the floor – negative for SEO, user experience, and other reasons.

This is very good news, thank you.

Can you confirm that all links to existing content will continue to work? Meaning all current URLs. That is also really critical.

Thanks again.

Hi, @ProDesignTools - thank you for your question. Please be rest assured, while the URL structure is changing, we will have automatic redirects in place. This means all your saved links and bookmarks will seamlessly take you to the correct pages in the new experience without any action required on your part. Thank you for being part of the community.

So it sounds like all active topics with ongoing questions and issues will be offline at the start? Can I suggest that you migrate things the opposite way? This will create tremendous confusion, since customers will not be able to find their recent posts or get help with problems happening right now. Older posts are usually inactive and often have solved issues.

@ExUSA As I read it, I think the new community is on a separate platform and the existing platform as we know it will stay live until the new community is released. But I could be wrong... @AshimG Would you kindly confirm, deny or clarify this?

Hi @NOcreationsBE / @ExUSA - That is correct. We are committed to ensuring that all your posts/threads are moved to the new platform and your community remains available without any interruptions. Thank you for being part of this amazing community.
