What are the options to get back to non internet versions of Photoshop and lightroom?

Hello all,

A bit of a bummer here.

I am on a apx. 7 year old win 11 64 pro loaded system, 32 gig ram etc.

And no matter what it will not play nice with PS anymore. 

So I priced out new at  3500 to 5000 and may go there, but I am rural.

And my new issue is I have only been able to get decent internet (at any price)

For a few years now. And the only one that would work with PS (speeds and downloads/uploads etc.)

Has now informed me they are stopping it and I need to switch. And oh by the way....

Nothing else is available (no t-mobile, no verizon and now, no att air or fixed wireless, no cable,no dsl etc.)

Satalite may be available but again double the price and its own download/upload issues.

So I may be without internet again. So obviously CC is not going to be an option with no internet.

even if I pony up 4 or 5 grand for a new system that will play nice with photoshop.

(I am back to version 23 aka 24.7 to keep from crashing my computer by the way, and I did spend coutless hours in the past couple months on this forum and on win forums trying to make them play nice and it is only PS and or LR that crash my system.)

So my question is I have bought and upgraded every lightroom and PS upgrade 

since PS 5 (way back not CS 5 )and LR 2 

So what is the last non internet version of each? and can I download those versions from the 

CC app or can I get a download from somewhere else on adobe? 

I still have the install CS 6 and a LR 5 disc (if those are the last ones) but would like to get a up to date download version of  those if possible. since I am guessing those had updates. (and before I have no internet)

You only need to be connected once every 30 days to verify the license, and you can do that via a cell phone. Other than that, no internet access is required.

 

(With the exception of AI generative fill and associated functions, which is processed on Adobe's servers and I personally don't ever touch).

 

If Photoshop performs poorly, that's not the reason. The most likely cause for that is an old and underpowered graphics processor.

    Thanks for info but not what I was getting at.

    I knew you could verify your license etc. over phone or what ever.

    My problem is that I am going to lose only decent internet (at halfway decent price and up and download and data cap)

    That I can get (due to rural black hole I am in.) 

    And may end up with some terrible version of a phone hotspot type deal with slow speeds and a 5g data cap.

    Which would be totaly unusable as the download size of the adobe programs and then the advice on here

    when you have issues. As in just uninstall this and that and reinstall and if that doesn't work uninstal the whole 

    adobe suite etc.  all of which would use up all data in one morning plus the constant updates etc.

    But doing some research CS6 and LR5 may not play nice anymore. So there is that as well.

    And like I said I would consider  3 to 5 grand for new system 

    But no need for that unless I have decent internet. Again license is not the issue. Its the massive downloads

    for updates and fixing and diagnosing stuff that you need decent internt plan for.

    And I have not been using the new AI stuff. I have been learning it but not 

    using much because still waiting to see when they are actualy going to start charging money for 

    the credits etc. So not willing to develop workflows for something else I may not be able to aford to use.

    So I guess I will have to decide if paying a subscription for 1 or 2 year old versions that won't 

    crash my computer is something I want to keep doing, and if even those will continue to work.

    And I get where a bunch of people on here say "hey no one is forcing you to use adobe"

    And that implicit in that advice is that the fact that you spent thousands of hours over the last

    20 years learning  how to use these programs is of no concern and does not matter.
