Question

What happened to the PS Swatches?

What happened to all the swatch colors in one grid?  Now they are grouped and I only see a few in the RGB category?  If I click Legacy, there are still groups.

Does anyone know how I can get that back?  I find this new layout very inconvenient.

You can open the Swatch groups, select all the Swatches, and drag them up to the top of the panel, just below the "Last Used" swatches. This will leavt the Swatch Groups empty, so you may want to delete them (the swatches will still be in the grid).

If you select "Restore Default Swatches" from the panel menu after doing the above, you can have both the grid and groups.

Hi there,

Have you tried accessing the legacy swatches from the Swatches panel menu> Legacy Swatches? Are you using the latest version of

To organize swatches under a new group:
  1. In the Swatches panel, click the Create New Group icon.
  2. Specify a group name and click OK.
  3. Drag a swatch or use the Shift key to select multiple swatches to drag them inside the Group.

To create nested groups:

  1. Select a group in the Swatches panel.
  2. Now, drag and drop that group under another group.

If you do not the way the swatches are grouped in Photoshop 2020, please share your feedback here: https://feedback.photoshop.com/photoshop_family/topics/swatch-list-update-nov-2019

Thanks,

Akash

Thanks for the heads up.

This is a new design to group your swatches together for better management.
