Hi @DhandaNot I think the negative language is a big part of why that prompt failed. Words like without, do not, don’t regenerate, and "pixel-level only" often get ignored or, worse, make the model focus on the thing you told it not to do.

What happens if you use phrases such as: "reduced shadow on feathers, same texture" or "brightened feathers matching nearby plumage"?

I find Nano Banana follows commands better, so if it appears in the model picker, try it for this kind of edit. Let us know how it goes!

I used the prompt you suggested and the result is a new species of bird.

I tried the other prompt “brightened feathers matching nearby plumage”. Still a new species.

AI editor is too enthusiastic to make changes that are unwanted and unnecessary.

The elaborate prompt was: Reduce the shadows on the existing bird without altering its colour, shape, feathers, or details. Pixel-level adjustment only; do not regenerate the bird.

AI editor did not understand anything and disobeyed everything requested.
