Question

What is wrong with Photoshop Now?!**

Hey Adobe "geniuses,"

WHAT IS HAPPENING WITH YOUR [removed] NEW VERSIONS?!?!

Every time I try to MOVE or COPY ARTBOARDS, the program FREEZES for MINUTES on end—like it's taking a [removed] coffee break! Then, out of nowhere, this [removed] "MOVE" process dialog pops up like some [removed] error you forgot to fix.

I NEVER had this [removed] in ANY previous version—ZERO issues, EVER! Now I'm TERRIFIED to even copy an artboard because Photoshop might CRASH and CORRUPT my whole [removed] file. Are you kidding me?!

WHY AREN'T YOU DOING ANYTHING ABOUT THIS?! WHY does this [removed]persist through your so-called DAILY UPDATES?!

You've had MONTHS to fix this garbage—stop ignoring us paying customers and TELL US: WHAT'S THE DEAL? FIX IT NOW

I'VE TRIED EVERYTHING—STILL NO FIX, AND IT'S INFURIATING

    @c.pfaffenbichler & @AxelMatt

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUGGESTIONS, BUT I'VE ALREADY EXHAUSTED ALL STANDARD TROUBLESHOOTING—AND NONE OF IT WORKS.

I USED THE ADOBE CREATIVE CLOUD CLEANER TOOL TO WIPE EVERY SINGLE ADOBE PRODUCT FROM MY SYSTEM. I TINKERED WITH MEMORY ALLOCATION—MAXED IT OUT, MINIMIZED IT. DISABLED GPU ACCELERATION? NOT AN OPTION FOR ME. SWITCHED SCRATCH DISKS MULTIPLE TIMES. TOGGLED EVERY ARTBOARD OPTION: AUTO-NEST LAYERS, AUTO-SIZE CANVAS, KEEP RELATIVE POSITION, SHRINK-WRAP CANVAS. NOTHING CHANGES. THE FREEZES AND "MOVE" DIALOGS PERSIST.

NONE OF THIS WAS EVER NECESSARY IN PHOTOSHOP 2018 OR EARLIER VERSIONS—EVERYTHING JUST WORKED OUT OF THE BOX, FLAWLESSLY. NO HACKS, NO WORKAROUNDS. MY SETUP IS HIGH-END: TOP-TIER HARDWARE, YET EVEN CREATING NEW ARTBOARDS BEYOND 3 FLOODS ME WITH RAGE—IT GRINDS TO A HALT EVERY TIME.

I CAN'T TONE DOWN MY FRUSTRATION LIKE IN MY PREVIOUS POST BECAUSE I'VE RELIED ON PHOTOSHOP FOR 15 YEARS. I APPRECIATE THE AI INTEGRATIONS AND NEW FEATURES, BUT I CANNOT ACCEPT THIS BLATANT NEGLIGENCE IN CORE PERFORMANCE OPTIMIZATION. IN MY VIEW, PHOTOSHOP IS TURNING INTO BLOATWARE: LAYERS OF NEW CODE PILED ON DECADES-OLD CODE, CREATING EVER-WORSENING ISSUES WITH EACH UPDATE AND VERSION.

AGAIN: I DON'T WANT HELP. I WANT A STRAIGHT ANSWER FROM A QUALIFIED ADOBE ENGINEER ON WHY THIS REGRESSION HAPPENED COMPARED TO 2018.

You asked on the Community Forums which is answered mostly by volunteers, not by Adobe Engineers.

What have you done for all-purpose trouble-shooting so far?

Restoring Preferences after making sure all customized presets like Actions, Patterns, Brushes etc. have been saved might be a good starting point:

I'm understand that you're angry, but if you want realy "genuine help" be respectful. Instead of complaining here, give us more detailed information about your problem and your environment.

Without these informations all proposed solutions are a look into the crystal ball.

What you’re try to do and what happened. Please described step-by-step so we can try to reproduce.

Please provide a copy of your 'System Info'. This can be get from the Photoshop menu item Help > System Info. There's a copy button in the System Info dialog. Press this button and paste the info into your next forum post.

BTW: Please also stop cyring (using the caps look key)!
