White box forms around fonts when trying to move them

Im using PS 25.1.0
When trying to move a font on a layered image a white box forms around the selected font and I cant see what Im doing.

    What happens when you zoom in? Can you use the arrow keys to move the type layer? (A font is the typeface, you are trying to move the TextItem on a type layer.)
