Why are my NEF files suddenly overlaid with colours and stuff?

I have just imported a load of files (see attached) and they look corrupt - when I open them in PS they display okay but in Bridge they are displaying as errors - I have never seen anything like this before

Presumably this is just a GPU issue, as long as they open fine in Photoshop. But while you say they display OK in Photoshop - do they display OK in the Camera Raw module (ACR)? ACR tends to be a lot more sensitive about GPU problems than Photoshop.

If that checks out, it must be a corrupt Bridge cache. A quick test is to right-click the thumbnail in Bridge and “Purge Cache for Selection”.
