Question

Why is the quality of Nano Banana Pro generation in Photoshop significantly worse than in the web version of Gemini 3? Will it be fixed?

The resolution of the generations created in Photoshop is significantly lower than when creating the same generation directly on the Gimini 3 website.

    Hi @Jammyj @Alex Freedomroad @SvetlanaShchaveleva,

Thanks for raising this. To understand this properly, I’d need a bit more detail on how you’re using it:

    • Are you using Generative Fill / Replace inside an image (with a selection like marquee/lasso)?

    • Or generating a full image from an empty canvas?

Also, when you say quality is worse, could you clarify:

    • Is the issue with resolution (image size / sharpness)

    • Or with generation quality (details, realism, artifacts)

    If possible, please share:

    • The exact prompt(s) you used

    • A comparison (Photoshop vs Gemini web)

Once I have that, I can share more precise guidance and pass feedback to the product team.

    Best,

i am finding the quality the same in either, and both are rubbish. Currently nano banana is not fit for use. I have researched it and cannot find a solution. I just want the whole process to be done within PS and maintain the quality of the original.

Yes, I’ve noticed this too. What is the adequate image size for Gemini generations in Photoshop?

Have you tried Generative Upscale?  I know of two professionals who work within the image size confines of the generative models, and then upscale to a more usable resolution.  If it works for Jesús Rameriz and Lisa Carney, producing artwork for the Hollywood TV and movie industry, I’d have thought it satisfactory for most situations.
