Why renaming smart object layer doesn't change original name?

Hi,

I have a PNG image with name say "Rose098.png" and I added this image (as a smart object) in another working photoshop document and then changed that layer name to just "Rose".

But when I double click or click the Edit content of the smart object.... I can see the original name in the document name viz "Rose098.png".

So I want to know is it possible to change this "Rose098.png" name to the layer name which should read as "Rose.png"
