Word Puzzles and Creative Thinking in Photoshop

Hi everyone,
I work mostly in Photoshop and often take short breaks with word puzzle games like NYT Letter Boxed. I’m curious how other creatives approach these puzzles do you see any link between visual thinking and word flow?

Would love to hear your thoughts or quick tips.

I relax with MS Minesweeper, while listening to audiobooks.  I have been doing this for so long that my stat numbers are frighteningly large. 😞  I maxed out to the highest level years ago, and wish I knew how to reset it.

Hi Trevor and a Good 2026 to you. Poking around I found this:

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/2709629/(resolved)-reset-statistics-in-microsoft-solitaire?page=3#answers

The idea is to disconnect from the internet, delete the stat.ark files, play a game to restore the .ark files. Also delete the whole folder with the long string of numbers above the Guest folder (i.e. not just the statistic.ark subfolder) which then deletes stats and all game settings. Then reboot and reconnect to the internet and hopefully the cloud version won't ovewrite it. It's for Win10, but hopefully will work for 11. Be sure to look at the entire thread first before trying this fix. Long time since I played on Windows, so I might have missed something.

Gene, you had me uber excited there.  I did not have the file path your link mentioned, but I decided to try the usual Settings > Apps > Installed Apps > ??? > Reset, and it works if I am offline, but as soon as I reconnect the stats come back.  I will have another try though.  I love Google's new(ish) Ai search results summariser as it finds things you might not find manually.  I am probably old enough that by the time Ai decides that humanity it a detriment and that we should be eliminated, I'll be gone.  So I wish all those Gen Zs good luck, as they are probably going to need it!

Hi @47311344, that's a great question! I take breaks with Wordscapes. According to the developers, using Wordscapes 10 minutes a day,  “sharpens your mind and prepares you for your daily life and challenges!” Well, I don't know about all that, but I do find working with word games and jigsaw puzzles in-between creative projects gives my mind a chance to reset and rethink ideas and solutions. I think there is something to the link between visual thinking and word flow, plus I'm a developmental editor, so words are a big part of my life. Jigsaw puzzles give me a chance to get away from screens and relax my eyes.
