Hey, @Dmitrii35956449d9tl, & @tomcarry0. Welcome to the Photoshop Community. I’ll clarify this for you.

The minimum system requirement for Remove Tool’s on device model is documented here: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/desktop/repair-retouch/remove-objects-fill-space/remove-tool-minimum-and-recommended-hardware-requirements.html

For Nvidia GPU’s on Windows - GeForce RTX 30-series or later with a minimum of 14 GB VRAM is required.

Also, @Ged_Traynor a few fixes were merged in the recent Photoshop Beta and Photoshop 27.9.1. Please check if the 3090 (24GB) works.

@Sameer K already tested with version 27.9,1, I don’t have the beta installed so can’t test with that version

I’ve run into this kind of VRAM limitation before. An RTX 4080 with 12GB can still struggle with larger models or higher settings when most of the workload needs to stay on the GPU. Reducing model size, batch size, resolution, or enabling CPU offloading can help.

It's pity that Adobe doesn't test it. I have about 5 everyday bug types (remove tool total memory allocation, Z hotkey zoom crack, remove tool delay after Z (zoom pressed), Camera Raw fail, object selection tool fail) which exist for monthes.

@Dmitrii35956449d9tl it’s been an issue for some time, I get the same error with my RTX 3090 which has 24GB of VRAM

Yeah, this seems to still be a work in progress. I get that message on my home machine with RTX 5060 Ti 16 GB.

On my work machine, however, it now works, which is odd because that’s a somewhat older machine (9 gen i7), with an RTX 4060 Ti 16 GB. Otherwise these two machines mirror each other with all the same software installed.

So, for now, it’s where the dice roll...
