Zoom shortcut within Select and Mask not working

Hi! I'm having issues with the zoom shortcut (Alt + Mousewheel) within the select and mask workspace. Generally speaking, it doesn't work at all. I'm using version 23.3.1 of Photoshop CC on Windows 10 and have tried resetting the workspace and settings multiple times. Strangely, I can get it to work occasionally after having switched tabs or monitors. However, as soon as I select a tool or adjust a setting, the shortcut no longer works. Is this intended?     We are not able to reproduce this issue and would like to ask if you could share a screenrecording of what you are seeing to help the team.

     

    Let's make sure we're in a default state and there are no stale setting somewhere: 

    Restore your preferences using this manual method:

    Does it work correctly? 

    If that doesn't solve it, you can quit Photoshop and put the Settings folder back. 

    If it does solve the problem, I would like to get the folder of settings to try and figure out what is bad with them.

    Hi, there.

     

    Althouth this is an old post and issue, I'll leave my contribution here, as I've had the same problem and the above solution didn't work for me.

     

    I didn't find an actual fix, but a workaround: pressing the Windows Key on my keyboard and then dismissing the menu by pressing the key again, makes the mouse wheel zoom and keyboard shortcuts to increase/decrease tools sizes work again. Clicking the "Refine hair button" on the tool bar also brings those functionalities back.

     

    I hope this helps people facing the same problem, as this bug is terrible for productivity.

      It may help if we could see your Photoshop System Info. Launch Photoshop, and select Help >System Info...and copy/paste the text in a reply.

      Hello @CShubert here's one way to simulate this.

      Inside select & mask. the shortcut should work by default. Until you tweak "Smooth" slider.. The shortcut will immediately stop working. The bug is still present on the latest version of photoshop and the bug is easily replicated and occurs everytime you tweak any sliders
