.1 Type Document (1 File) Issues
So, I spent about 4 hours on a drawing, and when I finished (as well as various stages throughout) I saved the document. I then closed Photoshop (Photoshop Elements 10 to be specific) and turned off the computer after checking Facebook. Well, I went to go back in the document and continue working on it (It's a comic and I had only finished the first panel) and the computer had marked it as "1 File" as apposed to a "PSD File". I went to open it and the computer asked me how I would like to open it. I selected Photoshop. Photoshop booted up, and popped up with an error message saying that it was the incorrect type of file and that it would not be able to open it. I looked into it and it said that it was marked as a ".1 File". I did some googling and found out that that's a file used for TEXT EDITING APPLICATIONS. When I saved I did not change the file type, as it has always been preset as a PSD. Now, I have no way of opening the file, and I'm genuinlly concerned that I just lost this file forever. No matter what I search nothing comes up for this problem, and I just wanted to see if anyone has experienced this problem and, if so, is there any way to reclaim the file, or am I just utterly screwed and have to restart. Also, if there's a way to directly chat to someone in Adobe that would be fabulous.
