Question

10-bit display with Photoshop Elements

Apologies if this has already been discussed.

My question is whether Photoshop Elements (2021 19.0 x 64) can handle 10-bit displays
in the same way as Photoshop.

In Photoshop one has to carry out the following:

Edit > Preferences > Performance > Graphics Processor Settings > Advanced Settigns ...
Drawing Mode > Normal or Advanced
check 30 Bit Display option

Photoshop Elements seems to offer a more limited choice as follows:

Edit > Preferences > Performance > Graphics Processor Settings
Use Graphic Processor for improved performance

I am wondering whether this difference is due to in-built limitations
of Photoshop Elements or, maybe, due to the fact that the Graphics Processor
that has been detected does not allow such settings.

Many thanks in advance for any help or pointers.

I can't say that I have seen this question asked before. And you seem to have answered your own question.  All I can add is that several editing tasks in Photoshop Elements can only be used on 8-bit images - not 16-bit.  AFAIK, these limitations don't apply to the full Photoshop.  And I believe only Lightroom can handle editing of 32-bit images.
