2002-2005 Catalog Backups to restore

Is there a way to restore what was then called "Adobe Photoshop Album" files from 2002-2005? They were made with old versions of Elements.

I have some precious family photos I would like to access. Any advice is appreciated.

The first thing to keep in mind is that 'album' was a way to keep a catalog of files on your disks (an ancestor of the organizer).

If you still have the disks with the album catalog and the media files, there is a procedure to convert the catalog. I have not tried it myself, but here it is:

    Do the media files (jpgs) store on the CD-Rs with the catalog? I have since changed computers many times.
